MARCH Hemorrhage Control

2-3 hour TCCC-based hemorrhage control. Tourniquet application confirmed with Doppler, active bleeding wound packing, airway, and casualty assessment.

MARCH Hemorrhage Control

MARCH follows current Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC) recommendations. This 2–3 hour course covers the skills that stop preventable deaths in trauma — the kind of skills that save lives in the minutes before EMS arrives, or when EMS isn't coming.

What's Covered

  • Hemorrhage control: tourniquet application, wound packing with hemostatic agents
  • Airway: basic management and positioning
  • Respiration: tension pneumothorax recognition (needle decompression covered for eligible groups)
  • Circulation: shock assessment and management
  • Hypothermia prevention
  • Rapid casualty assessment

Waypoint uses Doppler ultrasound to confirm tourniquet application — you will know your tourniquet actually worked, not just that it looks right. Active bleeding wound packing trainers are used for hands-on hemorrhage control practice.

A "care under fire" module covering movement and treatment under simulated threat can be added for groups that need it. Contact us to discuss.
