Combat Life Saver

Military-standard buddy aid for non-medical personnel. TCCC-based hemorrhage control, tension pneumothorax, and airway — with high-fidelity trainers and scenario-based practice.

Combat Life Saver (CLS)

The Combat Life Saver course prepares non-medical military and tactical personnel to provide immediate buddy aid. Built on current TCCC guidelines, the course focuses on the three preventable causes of combat death: massive hemorrhage, tension pneumothorax, and airway obstruction.

This is not a lecture course. Skills are practiced on high-fidelity trainers and tested under scenario conditions.

What You'll Learn

  • Tourniquet application and assessment: limb and junctional
  • Wound packing with hemostatic agents
  • Needle chest decompression: indications and technique
  • Nasopharyngeal airway insertion
  • Rapid casualty assessment under stress
  • Patient movement and extraction

All skills are practiced on high-fidelity bleed trainers and chest decompression simulators. The course culminates in scenario-based exercises where students manage casualties under simulated operational stress.

Who Should Take This Course
